jesus & super glue.

"It is good to be children sometimes, and never better than at
Christmas when its mighty Founder was a child Himself. ~ Charles Dickens

my extent of keeping christ as the center this season, thus far, was my attempts of throwing pillows at the cats when they knocked down the nativity set...again.
the angel's hand is officially missing.
I was starting to feel the hallow nature of my days,
but i'm resolving to shift back into purpose; to not let what matters to me pass by.
so here's to keeping the prayer candle lit.
to visiting the festival of lights at the grotto, to reflect on mary and joseph and their beautiful baby boy.
for assembling the advent wreath- even if it's a few weeks late.
and to finding the nativity angel's hand.....and super glue.

I'm thankful for a god filled with humor and understanding.

the holidays mean something different to everyone;
keep your reasons close and center these long winter days,
and then with purpose we will gather around the tree and be merry like children.

  1. So far my advent wreath is the only decorating I have accomplished.
    Keeping Jesus front and center is the way I want to live each and every day and at this time of year especially! :)
    I hope you have a lovely day Laura Emily!

  2. Happy Holidays! We'll be away from my family and with my husbands in Ohio this holidays and I'm just hoping to focus on the good things and enjoy it. I'm not sure how sleeping at someone else's house with 2 boys and a newborn with my 1 yr old is going to go. The reason for the season.

    Hope the had gets found! :)
